Probing topcolor-assisted technicolor models from like-sign tau pair production in e gamma collisions
Guo-Li Liu

TL;DR
This paper investigates how extra gauge bosons in topcolor-assisted technicolor models could produce detectable like-sign tau pairs in e gamma collisions, offering a potential signal for new physics beyond the Standard Model.
Contribution
It demonstrates that Z' gauge bosons in TC2 models can significantly enhance like-sign tau pair production in e gamma collisions, a process previously considered unobservable in other models.
Findings
Z' contributions can reach cross sections of tens of femtobarns.
Like-sign tau pair production could be detectable at e gamma colliders.
Standard Model and MSSM contributions are negligible for this process.
Abstract
We consider the contributions of the extra gauge boson Z' to the like sign production process , induced by the tree-level flavor changing interactions. Since these rare production are far below the observable level in the Standard Model and other popular new physics models such as the minimal supersymmetric model, we find that Z' can give significant contributions to this process, and with reasonable values of the parameters in TC2 models, the cross section can reach several tens of fb and may be detected at the collisions.
