A Search for the Intermediate Subgroup of Gamma-Ray Bursts in the Swift Dataset
D. Huja, J. Ripa

TL;DR
This study investigates the existence of an intermediate subgroup of gamma-ray bursts in the Swift dataset using statistical tests, providing evidence for its presence.
Contribution
It applies chi-squared and F-test methods to support the existence of a third gamma-ray burst subgroup in the Swift data.
Findings
Support for the intermediate subgroup based on statistical analysis
Application of chi^2 and F-test methods
Identification of a potential third gamma-ray burst class
Abstract
We have searched for the third, 'intermediate', subgroup of gamma-ray bursts among nearly 400 gamma-ray bursts observed by the Swift satellite. The standard chi^2 method and F-test were applied which give support for the existence of this subgroup.
