How to recognize a nearly-flat-band ferromagnet by means of thermodynamic measurements?
Volodymyr Derzhko, Janusz Jedrzejewski

TL;DR
This paper investigates thermodynamic signatures that can identify nearly-flat-band ferromagnets and paramagnets, modeled by the Hubbard model, through specific measurement techniques.
Contribution
It introduces a method to recognize nearly-flat-band ferromagnets using thermodynamic measurements based on Hubbard model descriptions.
Findings
Identification of thermodynamic signatures for nearly-flat-band ferromagnets
Potential experimental approaches for detecting flat-band ferromagnetism
Theoretical insights into Hubbard model-based magnetic systems
Abstract
We make an attempt at unveiling the thermodynamic "signature" of a specific class of electronic systems, the so called nearly-flat-band paramagnets and ferromagnets that can theoretically be described by appropriate versions of the Hubbard model.
