J.D. Barrow, S. Cotsakis, A. Tsokaros

TL;DR
This paper develops a mathematical framework to describe general solutions of Einstein's equations near sudden cosmological singularities, revealing a quasi-isotropic structure with multiple degrees of freedom.
Contribution
It introduces an asymptotic series solution for Einstein's equations near sudden singularities, incorporating nine arbitrary functions to capture the general behavior.
Findings
Solution is quasi isotropic near singularity
Contains nine independent arbitrary functions
Provides a mathematical description of sudden singularities
Abstract
We construct an asymptotic series for a general solution of the Einstein equations near a sudden singularity. The solution is quasi isotropic and contains nine independent arbitrary functions of the space coordinates as required by the structure of the initial value problem.
