On pomeron loop effects in deep inelastic scattering
Wenchang Xiang

TL;DR
This paper investigates how pomeron loop effects, related to gluon fluctuations, influence deep inelastic scattering and demonstrates that including these effects improves the fit to HERA experimental data for the structure function F2 at small x and various Q^2 values.
Contribution
It introduces the impact of pomeron loop effects on DIS and shows their significance in better describing experimental data, extending previous models.
Findings
Pomeron loop effects improve the fit to HERA data for F2.
Including gluon fluctuations enhances theoretical descriptions of small-x DIS.
The study emphasizes the importance of pomeron loops in high-energy QCD processes.
Abstract
Pomeron loop effects (gluon number fluctuations) on deep inelastic scattering (DIS) in the fixed coupling case are studied. We show that the description of the HERA data for the inclusive structure function for and is improved once pomeron loop effects are included.
