On the classical limit of Bohmian mechanics for Hagedorn wave packets
Detlef D\"urr, Sarah R\"omer

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that Bohmian trajectories for Hagedorn wave packets converge to classical Newtonian trajectories in the limit, providing insights into the quantum-classical transition.
Contribution
It establishes the convergence of Bohmian trajectories to classical trajectories specifically for Hagedorn wave packets, a class of quantum states.
Findings
Bohmian trajectories converge to Newtonian trajectories in probability.
The result applies specifically to wave packets defined by Hagedorn.
Provides a rigorous link between quantum and classical dynamics.
Abstract
We consider the classical limit of quantum mechanics in terms of Bohmian trajectories. For wave packets as defined by Hagedorn we show that the Bohmian trajectories converge to Newtonian trajectories in probability.
