Radiative magneto-hydrodynamics in massive star formation and accretion disks
Rolf Kuiper, Mario Flock, Hubert Klahr

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new radiation transport module for MHD simulations, combining flux-limited diffusion and ray-tracing, applied to massive star formation and accretion disks.
Contribution
The authors developed a novel radiation transport module that integrates flux-limited diffusion with ray-tracing for enhanced accuracy and speed in MHD simulations.
Findings
Efficient simulation of radiative processes in star formation.
Improved accuracy over traditional diffusion methods.
Successful application to massive star formation scenarios.
Abstract
We briefly overview our newly developed radiation transport module for MHD simulations and two actual applications. The method combines the advantage of the speed of the Flux-Limited Diffusion approximation and the high accuracy obtained in ray-tracing methods.
