Shadowing in Compton scattering on nuclei
B.Z. Kopeliovich, Ivan Schmidt, M. Siddikov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the shadowing effects in Compton scattering on nuclei using the color dipole model, incorporating quark and gluon shadowing with a focus on impact parameter dependence.
Contribution
It introduces a novel calculation of shadowing effects in Compton scattering on nuclei within the color dipole framework, considering both quark and gluon shadowing effects.
Findings
Quantitative evaluation of shadowing effects in Compton scattering.
Inclusion of impact parameter dependence in the model.
Consideration of both quark and gluon shadowing effects.
Abstract
We evaluate the shadowing effect in deeply virtual and real Compton scattering on nuclei in the framework of the color dipole model. We rely on the soft photon wave function derived in the instanton vacuum model, and employ the impact parameter dependent phenomenological elastic dipole amplitude. Both the effects of quark and the gluon shadowing are taken into account.
