The transverse spin structure of the pion at short distances
Markus Diehl, Lech Szymanowski

TL;DR
This paper investigates the transverse spin structure of the pion at high momentum transfer, deriving analytic expressions for form factors and highlighting the significance of end-point contributions in certain cases.
Contribution
It provides new analytic formulas for pion form factors at large Q^2, emphasizing the role of end-point regions in the transverse spin structure.
Findings
Certain form factors can be computed via collinear factorization.
End-point regions significantly influence some form factors.
Analytic expressions are derived and numerically illustrated.
Abstract
We study the form factors of the quark tensor currents in the pion at large squared momentum transfer Q^2. It turns out that certain form factors can be evaluated using collinear factorization, whereas others receive important contributions from the end-point regions of the longitudinal quark momenta in the pion. We derive simple analytic expressions for the dominant terms at high Q^2 and illustrate them numerically.
