Lepton Flavor Violating $\tau^- \to \mu^- PP$ Decays in the Two Higgs Doublet Model III
Wenjun Li, YingYing Fan, Gongwei Liu

TL;DR
This paper investigates lepton flavor violating tau decays into muon and meson pairs within the Two Higgs Doublet Model III, calculating branching ratios, setting parameter bounds, and highlighting experimental testability at B factories.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of these decay modes in 2HDM III and establishes bounds on model parameters based on current experimental limits.
Findings
Neutral Higgs bosons contribute at tree level to these decays.
The decay tau^- to mu^- K^+K^- is most sensitive to the parameter |_{ au}|.
Decays could be observed at B factories, offering tests for 2HDM III.
Abstract
In this paper, the lepton flavor violating decays are studied in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model(2HDM) III. We calculate these decays branching ratios and get the bounds of model parameter from the experimental upper limits. Our results show that, the neutral Higgs bosons have tree-level contributions to these decays. Among these decays, the decay is most sensitive to . In the existing parameters space, these decays could reach the measure capability of B factory. These processes can provide some valuable information to future research and furthermore present the reliable evidence to test the 2HDM III model.
