Hidetsugu Sakaguchi, Jie Zhao

TL;DR
This paper develops a coupled map lattice model to simulate and analyze the spontaneous formation of pores during anodic oxidation, providing insights into steady states and stability.
Contribution
The paper introduces a novel coupled map lattice model for pore formation in anodic oxidation, extending previous models with detailed stability analysis and numerical simulations.
Findings
Identification of steady flat solutions
Analysis of linear stability of solutions
Numerical simulation of pore formation
Abstract
We construct a coupled map lattice model for the spontaneous pore formation in anodic oxidation in two dimensions and perform numerical simulations, after we explain steady flat solutions, their linear stability and a single pore solution for a model of Parkhutik and Shershulsky.
