Optimality of generalized Bernstein operators
J. M. Aldaz, H. Render

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a key optimality property of classical Bernstein operators extends to generalized Bernstein operators within extended Chebyshev systems, broadening their theoretical understanding.
Contribution
It introduces a reinterpretation of the classical optimality property for generalized Bernstein operators on extended Chebyshev systems.
Findings
Optimality property extends to generalized Bernstein operators
Broader applicability within extended Chebyshev systems
Enhances theoretical foundation of Bernstein operators
Abstract
We show that a certain optimality property of the classical Bernstein operator also holds, when suitably reinterpreted, for generalized Bernstein operators on extended Chebyshev systems.
