TL;DR
This paper investigates how a scalar condensate influences non-Fermi liquids in 2+1 dimensions by analyzing fermionic probes in AdS4 black hole backgrounds, revealing model-dependent gapless excitations.
Contribution
It introduces a study of fermionic probes in holographic non-Fermi liquids with scalar condensates, highlighting the effects on fermionic excitations.
Findings
Existence of gapless fermionic excitations in the presence of a scalar condensate
Properties of these excitations depend on model parameters and couplings
The study provides insights into the holographic behavior of non-Fermi liquids with condensates
Abstract
We study the effects of a scalar condensate on a class of 2+1 dimensional non- Fermi liquids by introducing fermionic probes in the corresponding asymptotically AdS4 black hole backgrounds. For the range of parameters and couplings we consider we find gapless fermionic excitations whose properties are model-dependent.
