Metastable Supersymmetry Breaking and Minimal Gauge Mediation on Branes
Edi Halyo

TL;DR
This paper presents a string theory model using D5 branes on a complex singularity to achieve metastable supersymmetry breaking and gauge mediation, with the breaking scale influenced by geometric effects.
Contribution
It constructs a novel brane configuration model that combines metastable supersymmetry breaking with minimal gauge mediation within a geometric framework.
Findings
Supersymmetry is broken at tree level by a singlet F-term.
The model incorporates three nodes for supersymmetry breaking and three for gauge mediation.
Brane instanton effects suppress the supersymmetry breaking scale.
Abstract
We construct a model with D5 branes wrapped on a deformed and resolved singularity which realizes metastable supersymmetry breaking and minimal gauge mediation. Supersymmetry is broken at tree level by the F--term of singlet which also obtains a VEV as required in gauge mediation. Three nodes of the singularity are used to break supersymmetry whereas the other three realize gauge mediation. The supersymmetry breaking scale is suppressed due to brane instanton effects which are computed using a geometric transition.
