Hilbert space compression for free products and HNN-extensions
Dennis Dreesen

TL;DR
This paper establishes bounds on the Hilbert space compression of free products and HNN-extensions of groups, based on the compression of the original groups, advancing understanding of geometric group properties.
Contribution
It provides new bounds and insights into how Hilbert space compression behaves under free products and HNN-extensions, extending previous knowledge in geometric group theory.

Abstract
Given the Hilbert space compression of two groups, we find bounds on the Hilbert space compression of their free product. We also investigate the Hilbert space compression of an HNN-extension of a group relative to a finite normal subgroup or a finite index subgroup.
