The dark and dusty side of galaxy evolution
Stephen Serjeant

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent findings on dusty star-forming galaxies and discusses future survey prospects, highlighting the complex role of dust in galaxy evolution.
Contribution
It provides a summary of recent survey results on dusty galaxies and outlines future research directions in the field.
Findings
Recent surveys have advanced understanding of dusty star-forming galaxies.
Dust plays a significant role in galaxy evolution processes.
Future surveys are expected to uncover more about dusty galaxy populations.
Abstract
In this brief, partial, incomplete and egregiously self-citing review I will summarise some of the key results in the past few years in surveys for dusty star-forming galaxies and some exciting prospects for forthcoming surveys.
