Comment on "Topological stability of the half-vortices in spinor exciton-polariton condensates"
M. Toledo Solano, Yuri G. Rubo

TL;DR
This paper clarifies the existence of static half-quantum vortices in exciton-polariton condensates and analyzes how TE-TM splitting affects their polarization textures, correcting previous misleading claims.
Contribution
It demonstrates the existence of static half-quantum vortices and calculates polarization warping due to TE-TM splitting, correcting prior misconceptions.
Findings
Existence of static half-quantum vortices confirmed
Polarization texture warping due to TE-TM splitting analyzed
Previous claims about vortex stability are challenged
Abstract
We show that recent paper by Flayac et al. [Phys. Rev. B 81, 045318 (2010) and arXiv:0911.1650] is misleading. We demonstrate the existence of static half-quantum vortices in exciton-polariton condensates and calculate the warping of their polarization texture produced by TE-TM splitting of polariton band.
