TL;DR
This paper introduces Tornado Lift as a significant factor in tornado formation, demonstrating that the kinetic energy gradient due to vortex expansion contributes comparably to buoyancy in air lifting.
Contribution
It identifies Tornado Lift as a novel mechanism influencing tornado dynamics, highlighting its importance alongside buoyancy.
Findings
Tornado Lift arises from vortex expansion and energy gradients.
Tornado Lift's contribution is comparable to buoyancy in air lifting.
Kinetic energy decreases with increasing vortex diameter to conserve momentum.
Abstract
It is shown that one of the causes for tornado is Tornado Lift. At increasing vortex diameter its kinetic energy decreases to keep the moment of momentum constant. A kinetic energy gradient of such vortex is Tornado Lift. Evaluation shows that contribution of Tornado Lift in air lifting in a tornado is comparable to buoyancy according to the order of magnitude.
