Cascading Gravity is Ghost Free
Claudia de Rham, Justin Khoury, Andrew J. Tolley

TL;DR
This paper proves that the 6D cascading gravity model remains free of ghosts at the perturbative level when the 3-brane tension is sufficiently large, confirming its viability as a consistent infrared modification of gravity.
Contribution
It provides a full perturbative stability analysis of the 6D cascading gravity model with brane tension, extending previous results beyond the 5D decoupling limit.
Findings
No ghosts at perturbative level for large brane tension
Supports cascading gravity as a consistent IR modification
Extends stability results beyond previous 5D analysis
Abstract
We perform a full perturbative stability analysis of the 6D cascading gravity model in the presence of 3-brane tension. We demonstrate that for sufficiently large tension on the (flat) 3-brane, there are no ghosts at the perturbative level, consistent with results that had previously only been obtained in a specific 5D decoupling limit. These results establish the cascading gravity framework as a consistent infrared modification of gravity.
