Taekyung Kim, Chong Oh Lee

TL;DR
This paper explores solutions in modified Hořava-Lifshitz gravity, demonstrating how coupling with a global monopole results in a space with a deficit solid angle, aligning with general relativity features.
Contribution
It introduces solutions in IR-modified Hořava-Lifshitz gravity with soft detailed balance violation, including a novel global monopole solution with a deficit angle.
Findings
Global monopole solutions exhibit a deficit solid angle.
Solutions are compatible with asymptotically flat spacetime.
Modified gravity reproduces key GR features.
Abstract
In order to allow the asymptotically flat, we consider Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz gravity theory with a soft violation of the detailed balance condition and obtain various solutions. In particular, we find that such theory coupled to a global monopole leads to a solution representing a space with deficit solid angle, which is well matched with genuine feature of GR.
