TL;DR
This paper introduces a theoretical model combining the van Hemmen spin glass model with the Kondo effect to study their competition in disordered strongly correlated electron systems, revealing phase transitions based on interaction strengths.
Contribution
It develops a novel combined model integrating the van Hemmen spin glass and Kondo effects, providing insights into their interplay in disordered electron systems.
Findings
Identification of a Kondo phase at large $J_K$ values
Observation of a phase transition as $J_K$ decreases
Demonstration of the competition between spin glass behavior and Kondo screening
Abstract
We present here a theoretical model in order to describe the competition between the Kondo effect and the spin glass behavior. The spin glass part of the starting Hamiltonian contains Ising spins with an intersite exchange interaction given by the local van Hemmen model, while the Kondo effect is described as usual by the intrasite exchange . We obtain, for large values, a Kondo phase and, for smaller values, a succession, with decreasing
