A note on entropic force and brane cosmology
Yi Ling, Jian-Pin Wu

TL;DR
This paper explores how Verlinde's entropic force concept can be applied to brane cosmology, deriving the cosmological equations from holographic principles, thus linking gravity, information theory, and higher-dimensional models.
Contribution
It extends Verlinde's entropic gravity idea to brane cosmology, providing a novel derivation of cosmological equations from holographic considerations.
Findings
Cosmological equations derived from entropic force in brane models
Holographic scenario successfully reproduces standard cosmology
Supports the view of gravity as an emergent phenomenon
Abstract
Recently Verlinde proposed that gravity is an entropic force caused by information changes when a material body moves away from the holographic screen. In this note we apply this argument to brane cosmology, and show that the cosmological equation can be derived from this holographic scenario.
