Propagation of extended objects across singularity of time dependent orbifold
Przemyslaw Malkiewicz

TL;DR
This paper explores how extended objects such as strings and membranes can propagate through cosmological singularities modeled by the compactified Milne space, proposing a quantization approach for membranes.
Contribution
It demonstrates the propagation of extended objects across singularities and introduces a quantization method for membranes within this cosmological model.
Findings
Strings propagate smoothly across the singularity.
A quantization scheme for membranes is proposed.
Compactified Milne space models cosmological singularity effectively.
Abstract
In this paper we argue that the compactified Milne space is a promising model of the cosmological singularity. It is shown that extended objects like strings propagate in a well-defined manner across the singularity of the embedding space. Then a proposal for quantization of extended objects in the case of a membrane is given.
