Square Lattice Gases with Two- and Three-body Interactions Revisited
Junqi Yin, D. P. Landau

TL;DR
This paper uses Monte Carlo simulations to explore the phase diagrams of square lattice gases with two- and three-body interactions, revealing unexpected qualitative differences from prior theoretical predictions.
Contribution
It provides new insights into phase behavior by examining interaction parameters previously unexplored, challenging existing theoretical assumptions.
Findings
Discovered unexpected phase diagram features
Identified qualitative differences from prior predictions
Extended understanding of multi-body interaction effects
Abstract
Monte Carlo simulations have been used to study the phase diagrams for square Ising-lattice gas models with two-body and three-body interactions for values of interaction parameters in a range that has not been previously considered. We find unexpected qualitative differences as compared with predictions made on general grounds.
