An Anisotropic Metamaterial Leaky Waveguide
Huikan Liu, Kevin J. Webb

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel anisotropic metamaterial leaky waveguide capable of supporting both forward and backward leaky waves, with applications in sub-diffraction imaging systems.
Contribution
It presents a new design of a uniaxially anisotropic metamaterial waveguide supporting bidirectional leaky waves for advanced optical applications.
Findings
Supports both forward and backward leaky waves
Enables sub-diffraction imaging
Demonstrates unique anisotropic waveguide properties
Abstract
We propose a leaky optical waveguide achieved with a uniaxially anisotropic metamaterial that supports both forward and backward leaky waves. The backward leaky nature is exploited in a sub-diffraction imaging system.
