TL;DR
This paper proposes a novel method to measure kaon mixing parameters using pion oscillations resulting from specific D meson decays, potentially improving measurements of D meson mixing frequencies.
Contribution
It introduces a new approach to access kaon mixing parameters through pion oscillations in entangled states from D meson decays.
Findings
Pion oscillation frequency is approximately 224 MHz.
Method can refine measurements of D0 meson mixing frequency.
Entangled pion-kaon states enable new parameter extraction.
Abstract
Pions produced via the decay are in an entangled superposition of energy states because the is not a mass eigenstate. This presents an opportunity to access kaon mixing parameters via decay accompanied by flavor tagged kaons. The pion oscillation frequency is , about 224 MHz. This method may help refine measurements of via .
