TL;DR
This paper analyzes high energy inclusive hadron production using unitarized pomeron models, proposing a new parametrization that fits existing data and predicts behaviors at LHC energies.
Contribution
It introduces a general form of unitarized pomeron contributions, including dipole and tripole models, to describe inclusive cross sections and rapidity distributions.
Findings
Models reproduce qualitative contributions of the triple pole pomeron.
Parametrization fits rapidity distribution data at energies ≥ 200 GeV.
Predictions for inclusive production at LHC energies are provided.
Abstract
High energy inclusive hadron production in the central kinematical region is analyzed within the models of unitarized pomeron. It is shown that the sum of multipomeron exchanges with intercept reproduce qualitatively contribution of the triple pole (at ) pomeron to inclusive cross section. Basing on this analogy we then suggest a general form of unitarized pomeron contributions (in particular the dipole or tripole pomeron) to inclusive cross section. They lead to a parabolic form of the rapidity distribution giving (tripole) or (dipole). The models considered with suggested parametrization of -dependence for cross sections well describe the rapidity distributions data in and interactions at energy GeV. The predictions for one particle inclusive production at LHC energies are given.
