Nonsensical models for quantum dots
Francisco M. Fern\'andez

TL;DR
This paper critically examines a recent model for calculating exciton energies in quantum dots, identifying a significant error in the original solution to the Schrödinger equation.
Contribution
It highlights a critical mistake in a recent quantum dot model, emphasizing the importance of correct quantum mechanical solutions.
Findings
Identified a serious mistake in the original model
Corrected the solution to the Schrödinger equation for the system
Undermines the validity of the previous model
Abstract
We analyze a model proposed recently for the calculation of the energy of an exciton in a quantum dot and show that the authors made a serious mistake in the solution to the Schr\"{o}dinger equation.
