Implication of BaBar's new data on the $D_{s1}(2710)$ and $D_{sJ}(2860)$
De-Min Li, Bing Ma

TL;DR
This study analyzes BaBar's new data on the $D_{s1}(2710)$ and $D_{sJ}(2860)$ mesons using the $^3P_0$ decay model, suggesting the $D_{s1}(2710)$ is a mixture of states and exploring possible identities for the $D_{sJ}(2860)$.
Contribution
It provides a detailed interpretation of the $D_{s1}(2710)$ and $D_{sJ}(2860)$ states, proposing their possible quark model configurations and decay properties consistent with recent experimental data.
Findings
The $D_{s1}(2710)$ is likely a mixture of $D_s(2 ^3S_1)$ and $D_s(1 ^3D_1)$.
The $D_{sJ}(2860)$ could be either the orthogonal partner of $D_{s1}(2710)$ or a $D_s(1 ^3D_3)$ state.
Predicted decay widths and radiative transitions align with BaBar's observations.
Abstract
The strong decays of the and are investigated in the framework of the model. Its decay properties newly reported by the BaBar Collaboration can be reasonably accounted for in the presence of the being a mixture of the and . The orthogonal partner of the is expected to have a mass of about GeV in quark models and a width of about MeV in the model. The predicted decay properties turn out to be consistent with the BaBar's new data in both the orthogonal partner of the and the interpretations for the . The available experimental information is not enough to distinguish these two possibilities. The radiative transitions of the and are also studied. We tend to conclude that the…
