Axial Charges of Octet Baryons in Two-flavor Lattice QCD
G. Erkol, M. Oka, T. T. Takahashi

TL;DR
This study computes axial charges of octet baryons using two-flavor lattice QCD, revealing weak quark-mass dependence and small SU(3) symmetry breaking, thus enhancing understanding of baryon structure and interactions.
Contribution
It extends previous lattice QCD work to include various axial charges and meson-baryon coupling constants, providing new insights into SU(3) symmetry breaking effects.
Findings
Axial charges show weak quark-mass dependence.
SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking is small at studied quark masses.
Includes calculations of meson-baryon coupling constants.
Abstract
We evaluate the strangeness-conserving , , , and the strangeness-changing , , , axial charges in lattice QCD with two flavors of dynamical quarks and extend our previous work on pseudoscalar-meson-octet-baryon coupling constants so as to include , and coupling constants. We find that the axial charges have rather weak quark-mass dependence and the breaking in SU(3)-flavor symmetry is small at each quark-mass point we consider.
