K. Veshgini, E. Megias, J.Nian, H.J. Pirner

TL;DR
This paper uses a modified AdS/QCD model to calculate the free energy of a quark-antiquark pair below the critical temperature, revealing that the effective string tension vanishes at Tc=154MeV.
Contribution
It introduces a specific AdS/QCD metric to analyze quark-antiquark free energy and demonstrates the temperature dependence of the string tension near Tc.
Findings
Effective string tension approaches zero at Tc=154MeV
The model reproduces expected confinement-deconfinement transition behavior
Provides insights into quark-antiquark interactions below the critical temperature
Abstract
Starting with the modified AdS/QCD metric developed in Ref.[1] we use the Nambu-Goto action to obtain the free energy of a quark-antiquark pair at T<Tc, for which we show that the effective string tension goes to zero at Tc=154MeV.
