TL;DR
This paper presents a new proof technique for non-existence results in the nonlinear Klein-Gordon-Maxwell system, with applications to Q-balls, using solely scaling arguments to establish restrictions on solutions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel proof method based on scaling arguments for non-existence results and applies it to Q-balls, providing new restrictions on their existence.
Findings
New non-existence proofs for Klein-Gordon-Maxwell equations
Restrictions on the existence of Q-balls
Simplified proof technique using scaling arguments
Abstract
In this paper we propose a new proof of some non-existence results for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon-Maxwell system of equations. The proof is based on the scaling arguments, i.e. special variations of the fields, only. We also apply the obtained results to the case of the simplest Q-balls and present some restrictions on their existence.
