Measurement of Z/$\gamma$+jet+X and $\gamma$+b/c+X Cross Sections with the D0 Detector
Murilo Rangel (LAL)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of Z/$\gamma$^*$+jet and photon plus heavy flavor production cross sections in proton-antiproton collisions, comparing results with Monte Carlo simulations and NLO pQCD predictions to test theoretical models.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed comparison of differential cross sections for Z/$\gamma$^*$+jet and photon plus heavy flavor production with advanced theoretical predictions using the D0 detector data.
Findings
Good agreement with NLO pQCD predictions for photon production.
Discrepancies observed in some angular distributions of Z/$\gamma$^*$+jet events.
Validation of Monte Carlo models against measured distributions.
Abstract
We present measurements of differential cross sections for the inclusive + jet production and the inclusive photon plus heavy flavor production in a data sample of 1fb collected with the D{\O}detector in proton-antiproton collisions at =1.96 TeV. In the first measurement, we compare kinematic distributions of the and the jets as well as various angles of the +jet system with different Monte Carlo event generators and next-to-leading order perturbative QCD (NLO pQCD) predictions with non-perturbative corrections applied. In the second measurement, we compare the results with NLO pQCD predictions, covering photon transverse momenta 30-150 GeV, photon rapidities , jet rapidities , and jet transverse momenta GeV.
