L. Hofer, D. Scherer, L. Vernazza

TL;DR
This paper investigates potential new physics in electroweak penguin processes by analyzing B_s decays, aiming to resolve discrepancies between theoretical predictions and experimental results in B->pi K decays.
Contribution
It proposes testing the new physics hypothesis through additional B_s decay channels, enhancing the analysis of electroweak penguin effects.
Findings
Discrepancies in B->pi K decays suggest possible new physics.
Including B_s->phi pi and B_s->phi rho decays improves testing efficiency.
Method offers a new approach to probe electroweak penguin sector.
Abstract
The discrepancies found in the B->pi K decays between theory and experiment suggest the presence of new physics in the electroweak penguin sector of the theory. We show that this hypothesis can be tested more efficiently including in the analysis the non-leptonic decays B_s->phi pi, B_s->phi rho.
