## TL;DR

This paper explores the gravitational collapse of spherically symmetric stars within noncommutative general relativity, using deformation quantisation to model quantum effects on spacetime during collapse.

## Contribution

It introduces a novel approach by applying deformation quantisation to model noncommutative spacetimes in gravitational collapse scenarios.

## Key findings

- Noncommutative geometries can describe gravitational collapse.
- Quantisation affects the classical collapse process.
- New insights into quantum gravitational effects during collapse.

## Abstract

Gravitational collapse of a class of spherically symmetric stars are investigated. We quantise the geometries describing the gravitational collapse by a deformation quantisation procedure. This gives rise to noncommutative spacetimes with gravitational collapse.
