Wei Liu, Chong-Xing Yue, Jiao Zhang

TL;DR
This paper investigates lepton flavor violation decays of tau leptons into muons and meson pairs within the topcolor-assisted technicolor and littlest Higgs models with T-parity, showing these models can produce significant effects.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of $ au^- o \mu^- P_1 P_2$ decay branching ratios in these two new physics models, considering experimental constraints.
Findings
Both models can generate sizable LFV decay rates.
Predicted branching ratios can reach levels detectable in future experiments.
The models' contributions vary depending on parameter choices.
Abstract
The new particles predicted by the topcolor-assisted technicolor () model and the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (called model) can induce the lepton flavor violation () couplings at tree level or one loop level, which might generate large contributions to some processes. Taking into account the constraints of the experimental data on the relevant free parameters, we calculate the branching ratios of the decay processes with = , and in the context of these two kinds of new physics models. We find that the model and the model can indeed produce significant contributions to some of these decay processes.
