TL;DR
This paper presents an updated formulation of soft diffraction that aligns with unitarity principles, exploring its implications for high-energy soft scattering and examining the interplay between theory and data analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a new formulation of soft diffraction compatible with unitarity, enhancing understanding of high-energy soft scattering phenomena.
Findings
Consistent soft scattering features at high energies are identified.
Theoretical foundations of soft scattering are critically examined.
Implications for data analysis and theory interplay are discussed.
Abstract
An updated formulation of soft diffraction, compatible with and channel unitarity, is presented. Its consequent general soft scattering features at high energies are explored. The critical interplay between theory and data analysis and its consequent implications with regards to the theoretical foundations of soft scattering theory are discussed.
