Yu Bing Dong

TL;DR
This paper estimates the impact of two-photon exchange corrections on deuteron electromagnetic form factors using an effective Lagrangian approach, compares results with empirical data, and explores new form factors induced by these corrections.
Contribution
It introduces a method to quantify two-photon exchange effects on deuteron form factors and analyzes new form factors arising from these corrections.
Findings
Two-photon exchange corrections significantly affect deuteron form factors.
Numerical results show good agreement with empirical data after corrections.
New form factors due to two-photon exchange are identified and analyzed.
Abstract
The corrections of two-photon exchange on deuteron electromagnetic form factors are estimated based on an effective Lagrangian approach. Numerical results for the form factors of the deuteron with the corrections are compared to its empirical ones. Moreover, the two new form factors, due to the two-photon exchange, are analyzed. Possible way to test the two-photon exchange corrections to the deuteron form factors is discussed.
