Lepton-Flavor-Violating tau decays at BaBar
G. Marchiori (for the BABAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on BaBar's searches for lepton-flavor-violating tau decays, setting upper limits on branching fractions and finding no evidence of such decays.
Contribution
First comprehensive search for multiple lepton-flavor-violating tau decays at BaBar, establishing new upper limits on their branching fractions.
Findings
No evidence of tau decays to three charged leptons or lepton plus neutral meson.
Upper limits on branching fractions range from 1.8 to 19 x 10^-8.
Results constrain theories predicting lepton-flavor violation in tau decays.
Abstract
We present the most recent searches for lepton-flavor-violating tau decays in BaBar. We find no evidence of tau decaying to three charged leptons or to a charged lepton and a neutral meson (KS, rho, phi, K*0, anti-K*0), and set upper limits on the corresponding branching fractions between 1.8 and 19 times 10-8 at 90% confidence level.
