TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how small fluctuations around a BPS three-sphere vacuum in mass deformed BLG theory can be described by a maximally supersymmetric Lagrangian, effectively modeling a single M5 brane in a specific spacetime.
Contribution
It introduces a realization of the BLG theory via a Nambu bracket and derives a maximally supersymmetric Lagrangian for M5 brane fluctuations.
Findings
Fluctuations around the BPS vacuum are captured by a specific Lagrangian.
The derived Lagrangian describes a single M5 brane on R^{1,2} x S^3.
The approach connects mass deformed BLG theory to M5 brane dynamics.
Abstract
We study small fluctuations around a BPS three-sphere vacuum solution of mass deformed BLG theory. We realize the BLG theory by a Nambu bracket and find a maximally supersymmetric lagrangian for the fluctuation fields corresponding to a single M5 brane on .
