TL;DR
This paper reports new measurements of total and differential cross sections for eta and eta prime meson photoproduction off protons, covering a broad energy and angular range, using the CBELSA/TAPS detector, providing valuable data for understanding meson production mechanisms.
Contribution
First comprehensive measurement of eta and eta prime photoproduction cross sections over full angular range with multiple decay modes at energies 0.85-2.55 GeV.
Findings
Consistent with previous CB-ELSA results for eta mesons.
Extended angular coverage for eta prime meson detection.
First full angular coverage in eta meson photoproduction.
Abstract
Total and differential cross sections for and photoproduction off the proton have been determined with the CBELSA/TAPS detector for photon energies between 0.85 and 2.55 GeV. The mesons are detected in their two neutral decay modes, and , and for the first time, cover the full angular range in of the meson. These new photoproduction data are consistent with the earlier CB-ELSA results. The mesons are observed in their neutral decay to and also extend the coverage in angular range.
