It introduces a novel fitter for CCπ0 event reconstruction using a muon and two photon track hypotheses in Cherenkov detectors.
Findings
Effective ring finding and particle ID developed
Good agreement between data and Monte Carlo in key distributions
Enhanced reconstruction accuracy for CCπ0 events
Abstract
We describe the development of a fitter to reconstruct induced Charged-Current single (CC) events in an oil Cherenkov detector (CH). These events are fit using a generic muon and two photon extended track hypothesis from a common event vertex. The development of ring finding and particle identification are described. Comparisons between data and Monte Carlo are presented for a few kinematic distributions.
