B -> K pi Puzzle and New Sources of CP Violation in Supersymmetry
S. Khalil, A. Masiero, H. Murayama

TL;DR
This paper investigates the B -> K pi CP asymmetry discrepancy as a potential sign of new CP violation sources in supersymmetry, focusing on flavor non-universal trilinear scalar couplings.
Contribution
It proposes a supersymmetry breaking model with large CP violation in electroweak penguins to explain the B -> K pi puzzle.
Findings
Enhanced CP violation can arise from non-universal trilinear couplings.
The model provides a possible explanation for the observed CP asymmetry difference.
New sources of CP violation could be detectable in future experiments.
Abstract
The difference between the CP asymmetries of the and decays has been recently confirmed with an evidence larger than 's. We discuss it as a possible signal of new physics associated with new (large) CP violation in the electroweak penguin contributions. We propose a supersymmetry breaking scheme where such new sources of CP violation occur in the flavor non-universal trilinear scalar couplings.
