M2-branes, Einstein manifolds and triple systems
Jos\'e Miguel Figueroa-O'Farrill

TL;DR
This paper reviews the geometries transverse to supersymmetric M2-branes and explores their connection to dual superconformal Chern-Simons theories through representation theory.
Contribution
It provides a representation-theoretic framework for understanding the transverse geometries and their relation to dual superconformal theories in the context of M2-branes.
Findings
Classification of transverse geometries for supersymmetric M2-branes
Representation-theoretic description of dual superconformal Chern-Simons theories
Insights into the geometric and algebraic structures underlying M2-brane configurations
Abstract
This is the written version of a talk given on 1 July 2009 at the XXV Max Born Symposium: the Planck Scale, held in Wroclaw, Poland. I review the possible transverse geometries to supersymmetric M2-brane configurations and discuss the representation-theoretic description of their conjectured dual superconformal Chern-Simons theories.
