CC1$\pi^+$ to CCQE cross sections ratio at accelerator energies
M. Sajjad Athar, S. Chauhan, S. K. Singh

TL;DR
This paper provides a theoretical analysis of the ratio of CC1π+ to CCQE cross sections in neutrino interactions within nuclei, comparing results with experimental data from MiniBooNE and K2K, and predicting for T2K.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical model accounting for nuclear medium effects on CCQE and CC1π+ processes, aligning with experimental observations and extending predictions to T2K energies.
Findings
Theoretical ratios agree with MiniBooNE and K2K data.
Nuclear medium effects significantly influence cross section ratios.
Predictions for T2K energy range are provided.
Abstract
MiniBooNE and K2K collaborations have recently reported the ratio for the induced charge current 1 production cross section to the charged current induced quasielastic lepton production cross section i.e. . In this paper we study, theoretically, in a local density approximation the effect of nuclear medium in charged current quasielastic(CCQE) and charged current one pion production(CC1) processes for the induced reaction in nuclei. The theoretical results have been compared with the results of experimental observations by the MiniBooNE and K2K collaborations. The ratio R(E) for induced reaction in water for the proposed T2K experiment is also presented.
