M. Gmitra, A. Matos-Abiague, C. Ambrosch-Draxl, J. Fabian

TL;DR
This paper discusses the inaccuracies in previous methods for determining spin-orbit couplings in ferromagnetic metal/semiconductor junctions, highlighting the need for corrected approaches.
Contribution
It identifies errors in the perturbation theory methodology used to extract spin-orbit coupling values, correcting previous results.
Findings
Previous figures (2 and 3) are incorrect due to methodological errors.
Corrected methodology provides accurate spin-orbit coupling values.
Highlights importance of proper theoretical approaches in spintronics research.
Abstract
The methodology used to obtain the values of the spin-orbit couplings from the spin expectation values from perturbation theory was incorrect. As a result Figs. 2 and 3 are incorrect.
