TL;DR
This paper derives the leading two-pion exchange contributions to the two-nucleon electromagnetic current operator within chiral effective field theory using the method of unitary transformation, providing explicit momentum and coordinate space results.
Contribution
It introduces a novel derivation of two-pion exchange currents in chiral EFT employing the unitary transformation method, with explicit expressions for current and charge densities.
Findings
Explicit momentum-space current densities derived.
Coordinate-space charge densities provided.
Enhances understanding of two-pion exchange effects in nuclear electromagnetic currents.
Abstract
We derive the leading two-pion exchange contributions to the two-nucleon electromagnetic current operator in the framework of chiral effective field theory using the method of unitary transformation. Explicit results for the current and charge densities are given in momentum and coordinate space.
