TL;DR
This paper explores how gamma-ray observations from WIMP annihilations can be used to reconstruct the dark matter density profile in the universe.
Contribution
It introduces a method to infer the WIMP density profile from the angular distribution of gamma-ray flux resulting from dark matter annihilations.
Findings
Demonstrates the potential to reconstruct dark matter profiles from gamma-ray data.
Analyzes the angular distribution of gamma rays from WIMP annihilations.
Provides a framework for dark matter tomography using gamma-ray observations.
Abstract
We consider Wimp annihilations into monochromatic and continuous 's and the angular distribution of the resulting gammas. We discuss how the WIMP density profile can be reconstructed from the angular dependence of the photon flux.
