Binding of D, D-bar and J/Psi mesons in nuclei
K. Tsushima

TL;DR
This paper estimates the potentials of D, anti-D, and J/Psi mesons in nuclei, finding that J/Psi and D- mesons can form bound states within nuclear matter due to attractive interactions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel calculation of J/Psi meson potential in nuclei based on the color-singlet mechanism, including in-medium effects of D and D* mesons.
Findings
J/Psi potential is attractive and complementary to gluon-based mechanisms.
D- and J/Psi mesons are predicted to form bound states in nuclei.
The study incorporates in-medium properties of D and D* mesons.
Abstract
We estimate the , and meson potentials in nuclei. -nuclear potential (self-energy) is calculated based on the color-singlet mechanism, by the and meson loops. This consistently includes the in-medium properties of and mesons. The potential obtained for the meson is attractive, and it is complementary to the attraction obtained from the color-octet gluon-based mechanism. We predict that the and mesons will be bound in nuclei under proper conditions.
