C.M\"uller, A.B.Voitkiv, B.Najjari

TL;DR
This paper investigates how intense laser fields influence the radiative recombination of relativistic electrons with highly charged ions, revealing relativistic effects in gamma-photon emission spectra.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of relativistic effects in electron-ion recombination under intense laser fields, highlighting their impact on emitted gamma-photon spectra.
Findings
Relativistic effects significantly alter gamma-photon spectra.
High-energy electrons strongly couple with intense laser fields.
Spectral features depend on relativistic dynamics.
Abstract
Radiative recombination of a relativistic electron with a highly charged ion in the presence of an intense laser field is considered. Various relativistic effects, caused by the high energy of the incoming electron and its strong coupling to the intense laser field, are found to clearly manifest themselves in the spectra of the emitted -photons.
